At Risk Youth and Crime

Discuss how one of the following specifically affects the transition to adulthood and life course of an at-risk youth. In doing so, you should be talking about things like getting a college education, employment, housing, family, and criminal behavior. Do not spend more than a couple sentences explaining what child abuse, for example, is. Instead focus on the transition to adulthood. In other words, what happens to this at-risk youth when they grow up? How does arrest or running away in adolescence affect an individual later in life? (100 points for the content of the response):

Child Abuse

Running Away/Homelessness

Drug/Substance Abuse

Problems at school (truancy, bad grades, suspension/expulsion)
